Like, Hi Everybody! Color me excited that bathing suit season is here. You know the pale, flabby parts that, from September to May, are safely shrouded in jeans, skirts, sweats, and Spanx? Soon they’ll get a chance to be viewed by all your friends and neighbors! Why, I’m travelling to the Caribbean for Spring Break, so my lumpy limbs get to be revealed even sooner! Super Duper!

But I’m taking a stand this year. No more hiding in my beach “cover-up”, an article of clothing that in any other season would be known as a shirt. I look around and see tons of people going to beaches and pools without Cheryl Tiegs bodies, time for me to stop cowering and get with the program.

I found an online bathing suit finder at goodhousekeeping.com. “Tempted to cover up at the beach this summer? Don’t!” This looks promising. Even a happy, plus-size model standing next to, not behind her surfboard. Exuding happiness. Not a worry in the world. It was genuinely exciting to scroll through the choices of body types to find my particular shape, size, and need. After all the site promises “comfortable, confidence-inspiring swimsuits that flatter every shape and size!”

I’m going to see, right here, a picture of a bathing suit that will make me look as gorgeous as Pamela Anderson in Baywatch. My heart skips a beat. Large bust? Nope. Serious support? Not my issue. Small bust? Now we’re talking. Seems I need a “bosom booster” to fake a décolletage. Sounds easy enough. Temperamental thighs need a “thigh disguiser” which one would think would be a skirt but no! Good Housekeeping actually recommends swapping skirted styles for high-cut leg openings which promise to “elongate gams.” Really?

Somehow I feel unsure. I check another site.

Yourswimsuitguide.com goes for the fruit analogies. I’m definitely a pear with a little apple thrown in. There I’m told my ideal suit is colored solid on the bottom and brighter on top, to draw onlooker’s attention upward. I’m hoping it’s upward to somewhere above my head but that’s probably too much to ask for. What’s this? Yourswimsuitguide.com is suggesting a suit with skirt or boy shorts. Wait. I thought skirt suits would draw attention to ample locations? My upbeat attitude is fading as my easy steps to being a Baywatch babe are getting shaky. I better check elsewhere.

Now I’m at About.com. Here I’m directed to look for a top with “bust enhancement,” They assure that actually I’m lucky because small-busted gals can wear those “cute, ruffled tops” that are so hot right now.

For the bottom, About.com recommends finding a suit that is cut high on the thigh which will make my short legs look “much longer.” If you have curvy hips then “all the better!” Boy they’ve got some artful writing. Here they side with goodhousekeeping.com and stress AVOID boy shorts and skirted bikinis as they draw the eye downward and can make you look shorter. For one-piece suits, About.com recommends a plunging neckline that creates a continual, long appearance. Then they go on to enthuse such a suit is “absolutely, drop dead sexy to boot!” Then again there’s the tankini, which About.com promises will make you look your best regardless of your size.

If you’re like me, our festival of challenges include: pear shape, long torso, short legs, smaller on top, roundish in the middle, less than svelte on the bottom, and a shaky body image to boot.

According to the professionals, our one-way ticket to Baywatch status seems to be: One-piece suits with plunging necklines to draw attention to our upper halves, or two-piece suits that are solid on bottom bright on top, and whatever you do don’t forget bust enhancers. Whether you choose one or two-piece, skirts are out! The bathing suit powers-that-be swear we shouldn’t be tempted.

For guys the bathing suit decision is as easy as choosing a beer. Grab whatever you have on the shelf. For me it’s taken hours upon hours of research to find, a “comfortable, confidence-inspiring swimsuit.” I’m not sure I’ve found either but I’m determined to give the suit thing a try. Make that, a suit sans board shorts.

Before I make a final decision I have one more search to perform on trusty Google. “Worst beach bodies.” This will soothe your soul I swear. My inquiry reveals Jerry Hall, Clint Eastwood, Tara Reid, and Mrs. Pierce Brosnan romping happily in the waves with bodies that could be categorized as apples, pears, heck even downright watermelons. But they aren’t crumpled over in despair. They’re…swimming. Mrs. Brosnan in particular looks radiant. She obviously found a comfortable, confidence-inspiring swimsuit! If you put a surf board near her there’s no way she’d duck behind it.

I’m following the lead of the woman who landed James Bond. Just buy a suit that you think is cute and wear the hell out of it. Hit the beach blazing. If you cover up in boy shorts, you wind up peering around at everybody else who isn’t perfect but had the moxy to wear a bikini, and then feel like a real chump. My new motto is, “What would Mrs. Brosnan do?”

I’m heading over to Victoria’s Secret where I’m going to buy:

Like, Hi Everybody! Welcome to my first blog for my new website. Don’t it look slick around here? My premiere task is to thank my web designer, Mr. Keith Jones, for putting this entire site together. I could never have done it on my own. In fact, I could never have found a website designer on my own. I needed Destiny to do that for me.

The world of websites has been a mystery that's eluded me for years. When I began down this road, it seemed like anyone could get a website, why couldn't I? Well for one thing, when I hear phrases like HTML, URL, servers and hyperlinks, I'm hypnotized into a coma. It was obvious I'd need a designer. But how in the world do you find such an enigmatic person? Talk about a mysterious mission.

Everyone I asked would offer up hot leads like, "I know a guy who knows a guy", or "my nephew did one for my mother-in-law, but now he's booked up with Little League", or even, "Yes! I've got a really hip, creative, designer who would be perfect for you!" and then you excitedly call the number, only to find it's been disconnected. At one point I nailed down a confirmed contact. We discussed design ideas. Just after we eliminated smiley faces and kittens, my guy took a job at a newspaper, moved to Phoenix, and that was the last I heard of him.

But some people have the website knack. After all, the web is crammed with websites made by all kinds of people who create hubs for their hobbies or entrepreneurial endeavors. Not too long ago I was driving deep in the back woods of Texas. By the side of the rutted road I spied a hand-painted sign, nailed to a tree for god's sake. "We've got your Goat. RollingRanch.com." What??? I went nuts in my rent-a-car, "GOATS??? HOW COME A GOAT FARMER CAN GET A WEBSITE AND I CAN'T!!!"

In 2006 my website dilemma was given a helping hand by, of all people, my direct next-door neighbor. He took a job at Web.com and turned my dream into a reality. Thank you Jeff! Four years later it became time for me to revisit the website issue. Jeff has long since moved away, and now I was back to trying to find a guy who knew a guy.

It’s not like I'm totally out of it. I'm actually a tad bit “up on things” as the great Cheap Trick would say. I'm heard daily on Sirius Satellite Radio! Dropping hints to my audience, subtle hints like, “Can somebody help me with my website?” proved fruitless. Stalking the computer lab at the Junior High School down the street seemed inappropriate. I’d just about given up hope.

Ah, Destiny. Destiny is an exacting mistress. She will often wait for you to be down to your last straw, then choose that moment to intervene.

Facebook was created. On a whim I made a Facebook Martha Quinn Page. Prompted by the death of Michael Jackson, one Mr. Keith Jones reached out on June 27, 2009. He concluded his message with: “Sorry for the long email, I’m sure you get many, but I felt like it’s something I should do.”

Destiny made you do it Keith! Little did we know the forces at work! Speaking of work, crazy how, less than a year later, your sweat and toil created this most awesome Martha Quinn location on the World Wide Web. I’m so glad Destiny whispered the command in your ear to communicate with one soon-to-be lucky Martha Quinn. You are a pleasure for my husband, Jordan, and I to work with, and we’re thrilled and amazed at your talent. Anybody need a site? I know a guy!

Do you remember using the phrase "bangin" in the 80's? To describe something really awesome? What about "clutch?" If you did, what area were you in?

Think Tank! What 80's bands contained siblings in their line-up?

Reading an article about The Bangles gave me a show idea. Susanna said there's an extra-special blend to their harmonies because they have sisters (Vicki and Deb Peterson) in the band. "If you look at the Beach Boys and other bands that have had family members singing together, there's a really cool thing that happens." Off the top of my head- The Kinks, Heart, Crowded House, Bangles, AC/DC...any more???

I've been collecting fave 80's words and phrases, and it's interesting how many were regional. If you were in Texas, did you say "danked" for snatched or stole? In NY we said, "scapped" as in "he scapped the rest of my popcorn!" How about "bow-head" for preppie? Also, on the east coast I don't remember this, but did you use the word "Brody" or "Five-O" to describe police officers? What was your favorite 80's phrase? Do you think it was regional, national, or gotten from the media ie: Neo maxi zoom dweebie??? xoxoxo, martha

Happy Birthday Madonna! Oh icon of the MTV Generation! Who can forget your troubled teen years when you had to tell your Dad Danny Aiello you were pregnant, or your cone boustier you wore when u needed to take that night job, how you pulled yourself up by your bootstraps and had Keith Carradine offering you diamonds. Today you deserve a Holiday. Celebrate!

Because today, all these years later, I'm lucky enough to receive an e-mail like this one. Steve, thank you  so much for taking the time to send this memory to me. It's an honor to be part of one of your life's definitive moments! My very best wishes. xoxoxo,  Martha

Subject: Re: You started the 80's for me.

Martha,

I tell this story over and over again, whenever anybody brings up the 80’s.  San Diego stadium (before It was Jack Murphy), three acts.  The first was virtually unknown guy known as John Cougar.  He was the warm-up act. The second was a group that I thought would have stuck around longer, Loverboy. Of course, the headline was my favorite group of the time, The Who.  Between Loverboy and The Who you came on and said, “Hello, My name is Martha Quinn, and this is MTV.”

This was a clear and definitive moment in my life, like watching the Berlin Wall come down and 9/11.    Lasers shot off and John Cougar’s ‘Hurt So Good” was on the overhead monitor. I know it was probably part of a very long publicity tour for you to help kick off the new channel, and I know it may sound shallow of me to say this, but it really was one of those moments that left a lasting impression on me.  I don’t care if it was a corporate promotion, to me that was the official kick-off to an era.

I  just listened to the  “Stuck in the 80’s” interview you were on, and I have to say it was one of the best interviews I’ve ever heard.   I loved how you broke down if you’re east coast you’re Bon Jovi and Areosmith. West Coast it’s Oingo Boingo and Depeche Mode. And you mentioned KROQ. Yeah, I totally got you! I actually had a chance to meet Richard Blade back in the 80’s, he was the nicest guy you could imagine.

I  liked how you summed up the 80’s but I can add one more thing if I could.  To me the music of the 80s were definitive different sounds, and a lot of untested ideas. Today, the music pretty much sounds the same because they work on ideas that have worked in the past. We are part of an innovative generation, that time and time again has proven to have changed the world.

-Steve

BTW, true to form I have to say this, I have never stopped having a crush on you, and when you are 105 and all your hair has fallen out, I will still have the biggest crush on you!  Thank you Martha!

As crazy as he was, as deteriorated as he got, I didn't see this coming. I can't stop thinking about his kids. So little interaction with the outside world. Their one constant gone. I feel so sad for them.

It's a tricky thing, mourning for Michael. Grief with a disclaimer: The following sadness is for Michael Jackson The Entertainer Please Don’t Think I’m Condoning or Ignoring Wrongdoings I’m Affected Because He’s Been An Entertainment Goliath In Our Lives Since ABC Came Out 1970 When He Sang Like He Was Channeling God.

Here are two pieces from former MTV'ers that were touching, heartfelt, and insightful. First is from Liz Nealon who was at MTV before we even went on the air, the second is from the beautiful Downtown Julie Brown.

From Liz:

I grieved for Michael Jackson a long time ago......when I was young I thought that he'd be with us our entire lives, making new music, reinventing himself, delighting us all the way (I mean, really - how lucky are you when Michael Jackson is a kid like you, though impossibly talented, and as we grew up he just kept getting better!). I'm sorry to hear about his death, but I've missed him for a long time.

From Julie:

Sweetheart I am in Italy. The news sucks! I can't believe it. He was way to young. Really. Just takes me back to when I first met you and the rest of the MTV gang..when he was at his very best. Always disliked those who ragged on him. He was simply the best as an artist in music.
This morning I went to the piccola pasticceria in this tiny town where I have my summer home and of course I had on a black sequin fedora and a sequin t-shirt in honor of the King of Pop! They are playing his music everywhere ...in the supermarkets, the gas stations, the gelateria's..it's fantastic to see that the fans never lost any love for MJ. My daughter woke me up to tell me the news...she was in a panic..and she is only 15. Very sweet.

You know me Martha...I am a MJ fan even before I came to MTV but it was there that I got to meet him. I will never forget that day.

Once again I dislike the way the press has already shown pictures of him laying dead on the stretcher. Do him proud Martha on your radio show.

much love,

ciao

Julie X

Woke up this cloudy morning to the most heart-melting sounds of a Lego creation being played with quietly next to me. Hushed "whooshes" as a soldier steals the diamond that can stop all energy. Muted "tap tap tap" sounds as the good guys wrestle the diamond from the soldier. Pretending I'm still asleep so as not to break the spell, I spy the good guys speeding to their hideout, narrowly missing the deadly spider web.

My friend Nick Jaroff recently posed the question: Name 5 Things You Can Grab from Where You're Sitting: No cheating! What are yours?

ok mine are: 1 golden retriever, 1 german shepherd, 1 cup of coffee, and, because my husband just asked me, "where do these go?", 2 tape measures. xoxo, m

Yes it's true, I've succumbed to Facebook. I used guffaw when friends would tell me how they hooked up with Joe Schmoe from third grade day camp and his big post was about that morning's bagel. "What in the world do you need to clutter your mind with that for," I'd chortle.

One night my husband and I, full disclosure a glass of wine was involved, logged in to the playground for idle hands, Facebook. I'm hooked. I like hearing about old pals and their kids' proms and bar mitzvahs! I enjoy reading the musings of Ossinning High alum, every day I hear from the MTV crew is like Christmas, and I treasure getting back in touch with Duran Duran fans from back in the day. I even connected with a gal who used to send me tons of trivia questions in the Dr. Pepper era. Hi Elaine!

But if you haven't Facebooked yet, I'm posting my recent reflections here.

Oh my god. if you’re visiting my website, I commend you. It’s like you were brave enough to venture into the abandoned house at the end of the street!

Usually at 11:00 at night I think, tomorrow I’ve got to update my website.

Then morning comes, and I’m immediately sucked into the vortex of Motherhood. Getting lunches packed, scheduling appointments to get teeth cleaned and warts removed, searching under every piece of furniture in the house for a Lego pirate sword, attempting to make a dent in the mountain of dishes in the sink, get my 3 giant dogs fed and yard cleaned up after they’ve digested (my husband lamented the other day, oh why can’t a coyote jump over the fence and eat these guys), throwing the laundry in the dryer and hoping the heat will remedy that left-in-the-washing-machine-too-long aroma, perusing my kid's novels to make sure they're PG and not PG-13, and tossing the withered brown bananas in the trash at last because I don’t have time to make banana bread today either.

Thus the virtual weeds on this page!

Great to touch base with you.

It was a a heartbreakingly sweet Christmas Eve as I snuggled in bed with my little son waiting for Santa. We couldn't fall asleep, and who in the world could? For God's sake, Santa Claus himself would be coming to our house that very night! With all the Reindeer and the Sled and the Presents? He's only the biggest pop icon the world has ever known-way bigger than Elvis! Fall asleep?

That'd be like if someone said to me, "Martha, go to sleep-quickly-right now, because as soon as you do...all four Beatles are going to get together right downstairs in your living room. They're gonna hang out, sit on your own couch, eat some snacks, and then hit the road before you wake up. So hurry up and get some sleep!"

It was an almost impossible task but we must have dozed off, I swear it was just for one second, 'cause sure enough Santa snuck in during that blink of an eye. Uncanny!

I wondered, as we gazed out at the stars, if this would be the last year I'd be able to be able to breathe in that anticipation. Talk at length about the sleigh, where the reindeer might land, would Santa like the cookies, remember to bring the carrots to Blitzen and the boys...what would happen if he forgot to go to someone's house, or if he left a present back up in the North Pole?

I begged my consciousness to remember each question, the feel of the small hand enfolded in mine, and every thread of the Puppy Pirate pajamas. It was so beautiful it almost hurt.

Yes I blogged! This is part of my New Year's Resolution. Ride my bicycle and blog. And fix my website so I can put in a podcast feature. I'm shocked to report that almost 20,000 people visited my website this year. 19,403 to be exact. Thank you! I love that the internet has allowed all of us to keep in touch, all of us who remember the name of the girl who was dancing on the sand.

I hope you all are having a happy and safe holiday, and are planning to hit 2009 with your best shot. I'll write again soon! And if I don't you can bug me about not keeping up with my New Year's Resolution!!!

xoxoxoxo,

Oh dear god it's been ages since I've updated my site. I keep getting snared in the "well I'm gonna completely re-do it so why bother" trap, but then I never have time to "completely re-do" and then no blogs. But today is the day I'm making it happen!

Today I'll be working on MARTHA QUINN'S LIKE, TOTALLY AWESOME, RAD HOLIDAY SPECIAL.  It'll air on Sirius XM December 20th. First of all, exciting to hardcore 80's fans, I found Joe "King" Carrasco's Party Christmas! I'm excited to have that chestnut.

I've also tracked down "Karma", the guy who sang Christmas in Malibu that I've played for the past few years during the holidays. Turns out he's Karma Auger, son of Brian Auger, who is a rock and roll forefather. He was in the British Blues scene with young Rod Stewart, Elton John, Long John Baldry, among others. So I wrote to Brian (god bless the internet) found Karma, and he's coming in to talk about that surfin' Christmas classic in the next few days, in time for the special! AND The Bangles, Naked Eyes, and John Oates came out to Malibu to our Radiobu studios and did in-studio Christmas songs. Berlin's Terri Nunn is coming in tomorrow and we'll slam that into the show as well. Here's the press release I wrote for the extravaganza:

On December 20th, Sirius XM will debut MARTHA QUINN'S LIKE, TOTALLY AWESOME, RAD HOLIDAY SPECIAL at 9pm EST, 6pm PT on 80's on 8.

From her Radiobu Studios in Malibu, California, Martha will be rockin' around her Radiobu Christmas tree with exclusive in-studio Radiobu performances by Naked Eyes, Berlin, John Oates, and The Bangles!

Tis the season for Christmas in Malibu, and Martha will give the gift of bodacious 80's holiday classics from way cool 80's on 8 artists like Billy Squier, Run DMC,  Joe "King" Carrasco, Eurythmics, Bon Jovi, and Pat Benatar to the Sirius XM 80's On 8 listeners.

For all card-carrying members of the Molly Ringwald fan club, grab your leg warmers, cut-up sweatshirts, and jellies, and tune in to MARTHA QUINN'S LIKE, TOTALLY AWESOME, RAD HOLIDAY SPECIAL December 20th at 9pm EST, 6pm PT on Sirius XM's 80's on 8.

Off to the studio, but now I'm back. At least until I start thinking, "well, I'm going to overhaul the whole site so I may as well wait..."

Missed you!

My brother-in-law sent me this e. He's working hard for a great cause, thought I'd share.

What's up friends, family, fellow lovers of animals,

First of all, sorry if you hate mass emails. You know this isn't like me.

Second: Please read this anyways. Es muy importante.

The 2008 Walk for Farm Animals is fast approaching, and I've received the dubious honor of being the chief coordinator of New York City events. This annual event has been taking place in Central Park for nearly 10 years, and this year is gonna be the best yet.

The Walk is a fund and awareness raising event for Farm Sanctuary, the nation's leading farm animal protection organization. They do vital work sheltering and advocating for abused farm animals. Farm Sanctuary operates the two largest farm animal shelters in the nation, and they also have some amazing campaigns to eliminate the worst practices in animal agriculture. Right now, they're working hard to ensure the passage of Proposition 2 in California, which would ban several of the most cruel aspects of factory farming in the state. To learn more about this amazing organization, please see www.farmsanctuary.org.

This year's Walk, scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 28th at noon and beginning at Merchant's Gate in Columbus Circle, will include a walk around beautiful Central Park with tons of outreach opportunities, and then end back at the Circle, where there will be live music (afrobeat allstars Shokazoba and indie songstress Bess Rogers), delicious (and free!) vegan food (from the Groovy Baker), appearances by leaders in the animal protection movement (including Princess Superstar, Vegan Ironman champion Brendan Frazier, Senator Liz Kreuger and Farm Sanctuary Executive Director Jeff Lydon), and raffles for some incredible prizes. In short: this is going to be awesome.

If you are interested in walking with me, you can learn more at:

www.walkforfarmanimals.org

and registering at

www.firstgiving.com/farmsanctuary.

But here's the meat (okay, bad pun) of why I'm writing you: if you can't make it but still want to support Farm Sanctuary, it would be great if you could sponsor me by going to my donations page:
www.firstgiving.com/pigasus.

Thanks so much for your support! Please forward this far and wide to any animal lovers you may know!

All my love,
Cody

It was 27 years ago...

Around 6:30 pm August 1, 1891, we all, that the first MTV staff, crew, execs, and VJ's, climbed onto a school bus  and drove to a little restaurant in Fort Lee, New Jersey, The Loft.  A school bus. Can you imagine? This is what we all took to the MTV launch. The Loft was chosen because it was the only restaurant we could find in the NYC vicinity who's cable company was taking a chance on adding this crazy new basic cable service called MTV.

To honor the occasion, Jordan and I packed our hour with as many of the first videos as we could, we got to number 15. It's funny 'cause out of 15 it's the second Rod Stewart video. We didn't have many videos back then to when a top artist had more than one they were in heavy rotation!

One of my favorite tracks in the hour is "Little Susie's On The Up" by PhD fronted by Scottish singer Jim Diamond. It's a steamrolling old-school (and I'm talking one-room schoolhouse!) rock track. The only copy we could find was pretty poor quality but we cleaned it up as best we could, and shortened it a bit so it wasn't excruciating, but since we did include it, we have an official first 15!

Then I got the idea to try to track down Geoff Downes, keyboard player for, not just Yes and Asia, but for the Buggles. He called me from his iPhone in England. The line is a bit rough, but it's worth it to hear him share what goes through his mind when he hears "Video Killed The Radio Star" today, and what it was like for them back then to find themselves at the epicenter of the video music revolution.

August 1st always sees a flurry of MTV staffers e-mails, and here's the one I sent out. It's pretty sappy but I'll run it by ya anyway. I should mention that this was in response to one of the crew remembering they used to have Martini's with their hamburgers at the Sam's, the diner on our little corner of Hell's Kitchen.

What??? Who was drinking Martini's???

Remember that day we had no audio everybody had to come back and do all our segments
again? It's ALL MAKING SENSE NOW!!!

I can't believe it. 27 years ago we were on the school bus, heading out to Fort
Lee NJ. Jesus. I can remember being in that dark little basement watching the  blast-off,
all of us holding our breaths, "is this really going to happen?"  It was monumental to me, and I was a newcomer, having graduated from NYU just a few weeks before. I can only imagine what it must have been like for the crew who'd been envisioning MTV for so long.
History can't repeat a moment like that. There can be more, but that one stands
tall as one of the greats. The thing I love about it the most is the thread of togetherness
it wove through us all.

Ah, getting all sentimental out here in Malibu. Sure wish I was on 33rd and 10th for

You'll hear in the Bret Michaels show I ask him, "What was the last thing you shot?" In case you're wondering how I came up with such a random question, I'd read this interview in PR.com where the subject of hunting came up, and it seemed pretty interesting:

Bret Michaels: I'm an animal freak lover!! I do not kill any animal! However I do love to shoot. I grew up as a kid in Pennsylvania learning to hunt, and I just decided for myself very early that it was not for me. I love animals and I'd rather save them then kill them.

PR.com: Especially for sport. It doesn't make any sense.

Bret Michaels: Yeah, it didn't for me. I'm like, "Hell, we got plenty of hamburger meat. Why do we have to kill this bear???"

So he told me about his archery a la Ted Nugent, and how, though he loves to have "fun with his guns", he doesn't hunt anymore.

Closing the hour I said, "This labor of love has been a Radiobu production."  I threw the "labor of love" phrase in because when we put together our tribute shows, that's truly what it feels like. We craft and weave and sculpt, all to present everyone in the best possible light. The featured artist, me, and all the bands who's music we're privileged to play. We call the shows our "sonic symphonies." I hope you enjoy the Bret show as much as we enjoyed making it. (btw I believe I stole that line from one of the Beatles, they said it on one of their Christmas records, referring to all the albums they'd released in the past year.) xoxoxo, Martha

p.s. It was Paul, god bless the internet. Check it out: http://www.thebeatles.com.hk/lyrics/lyrics.asp?lyTitle=Another+Beatles+Christmas+Record

p.p.s. Have you ever heard Coldplay's song, "Yellow?" My husband thinks everyone knows it but I'd never heard it. Just curious...

p.p.p.s. Miss you already! xoxoxoxo, Martha

Sorry I didn't write sooner, right after Curt left I threw my suitcase into the car and dashed to the airport.

Curt was fantastic, and he and his band sounded like angels. Hearing Curt Smith sing "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" in our humble little studio felt like baptizing our new baby. I was so emotional! We worked night and day the past year and a half, putting all our emotion (and quite a bit of our cash) into building our  Radiobu studios, and that moment made me feel like it was all worth it. And we get to share it with you! We'll have 3 live songs in the Curt Smith show, which will air in August. I'll let you know. xoxo, Martha
